Dr. Christian Kaps

I have served as a scientific and regulatory affairs expert in various senior positions within the biotech, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries. My experience spans a wide range of regulatory approval pathways in Europe, the USA, and Asia. I am particularly skilled in centralized, EMA-based, as well as national approval processes in Europe. This expertise includes advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) and innovative and combination medical devices. I was responsible for the successful EU authorization of the first German ATMP product in 2017. My strong understanding and expertise in applied research have been crucial in developing innovative medical technologies. I studied biology and earned my PhD in Biology from the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany.
